In 2005 we were set up by a mutual friend (thanks again Jennie) and in 2008 we made it legal at a roof top ceremony is good ol' Louisville, KY (aka Marcella's favorite place on Earth). Our family is completed by our two puppies, neither of which is anywhere near to still being a puppy, Scotch the energetic mystery breed and Oslo the brooding Siberian Husky.
Two apartments, three housing contracts and two home inspections later we bought our first home in Baltimore, Maryland. Not only were we lucky enough to find everything we were looking for in a house (minus Doug's dream rooftop deck) but our new home came equipped with the world best neighbors who quickly became some of our closest friends. While our house was by no means a gut job, we did and still do have a long way to go.
Thanks to a long commute and mindless Internet searching Marcella has come to be devoted to a handful of amazing young bloggers. Hopefully we can contribute to this growing population of creatives trying to make the world a little bit better, one idea and DIY project at a time. We hope you will join us as we work hard and inevitably make loads of mistakes, cause isn't that what life's really all about? Well, that and napping with puppies ...
